Frequently Asked Questions

What is wildlife photography and conservation photography with Dylan Pons Photography?

Wildlife photography captures the raw beauty of nature and animals in their natural environment. I specialize in photographing all of Africa's species from Big Five, birds, and rare species with a fine-art style that tells powerful visual stories.

Conservation photography combines storytelling with impact - documenting wildlife, ecosystems, and people to support research, awareness, and fundraising for conservation projects.

Do you photograph wildlife for private clients or just editorial work?

Both, I work with private safari guests, travel companies, and publications. Private clients often book me to capture once-in-a-lifetime safari moments, while organizations use my work for editorials, marketing, and awareness campaigns.

Can I book you for a private photographic safari?

Yes, I offer tailored photographic safaris where I join your trip and guide you through the experience, focusing on both the natural wonders and guiding photographic styles. I also offer private photography to document you trip for you. More under Safaris section.

Do you sell wildlife prints or fine-art pieces?

Yes, selected images are available as limited edition fine-art prints on canvas or archival paper. These are ideal for collectors, lodges, or anyone wanting to bring a piece of the wild into their home.

How does Dylan Pons Photography ensure cultural and environmental sensitivity?

Every project is approached with respect for local communities, rangers, and ecosystems. I work closely with conservation teams to ensure all content is authentic, ethical, and representative.

Can your wildlife images be licensed for commercial use?

Yes - all my wildlife work is available for editorial, commercial, and conservation licensing. Usage rights are tailored depending on whether you need images for magazines, websites, campaigns, or advertising.

What kind of content do you create for conservation projects?

A full package of high-resolution images, short films, and drone content. This includes wildlife monitoring, ranger profiles, anti-poaching efforts, community involvement, and landscapes that show the bigger picture.

How do you ensure ethical wildlife photography?

I follow strict ethical practices: no baiting, no interference, and always respecting the animal's natural behaviour. my goal is to document wildlife authentically while maintaining zero impact on their environment and behaviour.

Do you also produce video content for conservation organisations?

Yes - I create documentary style videos that are both short and engaging and longer more in-depth videos. Videos are presented in short reels, to mini documentaries. These help conservation projects share their message in engaging formats.

Do you offer discounted rates for conservation NGOs?

Yes - while commercial projects are billed at full rates, I offer reduced pricing or collaborative packages for NGOs and conservation initiatives, especially when work directly contributes to awareness and protection of our natural world.

Can you create a long-term content plan for our reserve or NGO?

Absolutely. Many organisations book quarterly or annual packages, giving them consistent content for websites, donor reports, and social media campaigns throughout the year.
